Great Wall of China Trek for Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation

The Great Wall is one of the most extraordinary structures ever built, constructed by human hands over more than 2,000 years.

But this Great Wall of China charity trek takes you beyond the typical tourist experience. You’ll explore remote areas north of Beijing, following the contours of the hills and mountains on foot.

The route is wonderfully varied, taking you through woodland and terraced farmland before joining sections of the Great Wall itself. You’ll experience old, atmospheric sections of the wall alongside restored stretches with smooth flagstones, historic watchtowers and – of course – plenty of steps!

It’s an incredible opportunity to experience one of the world’s most famous landmarks while taking on a personal challenge for a cause that matters.
