Lung cancer is a disease that affects so many people; young and old, men and women, smoker and non-smoker. Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is the only charity in the UK dedicated to supporting people affected by all forms of the disease and leading the charge to improve outcomes, so people can live well for longer with lung cancer.
The pandemic has had a devastating impact on lung cancer. Prior to the pandemic, survival rates for lung cancer were rising. However, latest figures show surgery dropped by a quarter and emergency presentations soared, all pointing to later diagnosis and lost lives. Now it is feared that only 13 per cent of those diagnosed will live for five years or more, and less than half will live beyond a year
Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is doing everything it can to recover, rebuild and restore hope after the despair of the last two years. But we cannot do it alone. With your support, we can get lung cancer back on track. With your help, we can ensure that more people are diagnosed earlier.
