I Love the 70s Virtual Run

The 70s. A decade of disco, flares and space hoppers. The Beatles split up, breaking many hearts, and kids rode around on Chopper bikes. It also happens to be the next decade to feature in our hugely popular Retro Running Series.

Brace yourself for the grooviest virtual run out there. Prepare your best glam rock outfit, polish your platforms (not advisable to run in!) and take to the streets to run when you want, where you want.

Fancy earning yourself this 70s themed medal?

Simply sign up to one of the following distances, choose if you would like to complete your run in one go or over a number of days and complete your run when you can.

  • 5k
  • 10k
  • Half marathon
  • Full marathon

Once you’ve completed your distance, simply upload your evidence to our Strava or Facebook group & we will post your medal to you.

Anyone who raises or donates £25 will receive an exclusive I Love the 70’s technical top!

Every supporter that takes part will receive access to the ultimate 70s playlist, an invitation to our Roy’s Runners Community and an exclusive 70s retro medal once the run is complete.

We want your Retro Run to be as fun and as safe as possible, because of this we ask you please read the following important information below to stay safe and protect others.

It is absolutely vital that those taking on a virtual run, walk or cycle follow the strict Government instructions.

Following on from yesterday’s (04/01/2021) announcement, the current guidelines for exercise are as follows:

  • Exercise should be limited to once per day & you should not travel outside your local area.
  • You can exercise in a public outdoor place, either by yourself, with the people you live with with your support bubble (If you are legally permitted to form one) or when on your own, with one person from another household.

It is absolutely essential that we all follow the Government instructions.

You are taking on this challenge in support of those living with lung cancer. They are at high risk of serious illness if they contract this virus, so please make sure you only take on this challenge in line with the latest Government instruction and stay safe.
