This November for lung cancer awareness month, we’re challenging you to take on our FIVE virtual runs to help us raise vital funds for lung cancer research and support services.
The Retro Running Series not only allows you to celebrate the very best music genres whilst out running, but allows you to earn six exclusive medals and five incredible technical tops whilst listening to our amazing Spotify playlists along the way.
From dance to jazz, with pop, rock and motown in between, whatever your music taste, it’s time to celebrate everything that makes music so incredible this November.
Join us for what guarantees to be a very special virtual running event and help us support those affected by lung cancer who need our support more than ever.
Sign up options
To sign up for every music genre in the Retro Running Series, just complete the registration form below. Alternatively if you don’t fancy taking on the five genres just sign up for the one you want to complete from choosing the genre on our virtual running page here. You can always sign up for further genres at a later date.
Anyone who signs up for the complete series will not only earn themselves five themed medals, you’ll also earn a bonus Ultimate Retro Medal.
After you sign up, you’ll receive your confirmation email including your Spotify playlists straight away and within the next few days your welcome pack will arrive with everything you need to complete your run (x6 Do Not Open envelopes, 5 Technical tops, if purchased at registration).
You can pick any distance to complete over any amount of time, 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Full Marathon – the choice is yours.
As you will already have your medals, you don’t not need to upload any evidence of your run, we do however encourage you to still post your virtual run via our Roys Runners Facebook group as we would love to congratulate you on a fantastic Retro run.
Technical Tops
You can be the proud owner of FIVE matching technical tops to go alongside your medals. You have the option when you register to receive six medals as well as the five tops from each music genre for £110. Alternatively, you can also set up a Just Giving page and fundraise a minimum of £150 after your £30 initial registration if you prefer.
You can also donate or fundraise throughout the year if you would like to purchase a technical top/s.
Register for the complete series
- Register for all five events and receive six medals. This costs £40
- To register for all five events and receive six medals plus five technical tops, This costs £110
- To fundraise for all five technical tops (on top of initial registration) through Just Giving. This is a minimum of £150
