Peek inside…

In the Nick of time

The cover star of our 2021 issue of Inspire is Nick, he was seeing his doctor for 18-24 months with a persistent cough and back pain but it wasn’t until he coughed up blood two years later that he was sent for an x-ray. Fortunately, Nick was still diagnosed early enough for curative-intent treatment but shares his story to help raise awareness and highlight the missed opportunities so others might be referred more quickly.

Back up and rolling

It was full steam ahead for the lung health checks in England – then we entered into the unknown territory of the pandemic, and everything was forced to halt. During this time, we worked with some CCGs on getting the message out there, including speaking to patients like Jo Shoba, who was diagnosed with early stage lung cancer through the pioneering programme in Liverpool.

Simon Says

The hugely popular and regular feature ‘Simon Says’ returns, with lung cancer nurse specialist Simon Bolton answering your questions about lung cancer. This edition features questions about types lung cancer and the covid vaccine.
