Remembering a loved one allows their legacy to live on while supporting families who have also been affected by lung cancer.
We are proud to offer many ways to honour your loved one’s life and fondly remember cherished memories – setting up a Lasting Tribute page, sharing their story, enrolling their name to our special Memory Wall, organising a collection at their funeral or supporting our Lights of Hope appeal at Christmas. However you choose to remember your loved one, we are here to support you.
Set up a Lasting Tribute
A Lasting Tribute is your loved one’s story book – an online space to cherish, remember and celebrate the life of your loved one.
A Lasting Tribute to Nick
Fiona set up a Lasting Tribute page in memory of her husband, Nick. Not only was it a wonderful place for everyone to share memories, it also gave Fiona so much joy.
“Setting up a Lasting Tribute for Nick was so easy to do and I actually really enjoyed it, looking back at all our old photos and conjuring up memories momentarily forgotten. It is also lovely to read the tributes and look at the pictures others have shared, not just for me but for our daughter, Isabel, and other family members too.“
Your Lasting Tribute can be used to share memories, post pictures, light virtual candles, host events and mark milestones and anniversaries. A Lasting Tribute can be made private or public at any time, so friends and family can contribute via a personalised link. It is a place to bring loved ones together to remember someone special, a source of comfort where memories can live on.

Memory Wall
Our online memory wall is full of love. It allows you to post a photo, leave a message or share a memory of your loved one.

When you add your dedication, you will also have chance to make a donation in their memory to help support other families affected by lung cancer.
Funeral collections
Many people ask for donations instead of flowers at a loved one’s funeral. These gifts in memory are a meaningful way to honour them, and we greatly appreciate the sentiment behind them.
Personalised envelopes are available for funeral donations. They include Gift Aid, so each £1 donated adds 25% more from UK taxpayers, making your gift go further.
If you’ve collected donations at a funeral, you can pay them in using one of the following options:
Cheques which have been made out to ‘Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation’ can be forwarded directly to:
Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation,
The Cotton Exchange Building,
Old Hall Street,
Liverpool,
L3 9LQ.
We ask families to bank any cash donations themselves and make cheques payable to ‘Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation’. Please do not send cash in the post. For Gift Aid donations, include the envelope with the amount and deposit the cash.
When sending cheques, include a note with your loved one’s name and that the money was raised at their funeral.
You can also donate online via our donation form, specifying that the gift is in memory of your loved one and from a funeral collection.
If you have any questions about arranging a funeral collection or paying in a donation, please get in touch.
