Get your friends and family together and take part in the idyllic Wirral Coastal Walk for Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation this June.
Starting from the Floral Pavilion in New Brighton you’ll follow a 12.5-mile route to Thurstaston Country Park, passing beautiful landmarks such as the Leasowe Lighthouse, Hoylake Promenade and West Kirby Marine Lake.
This is a great walk for anyone to enjoy, accessible for all ages and abilities. And when you get to the finish our team will be there to greet you with a drink, snack and smile!
About the event
The Wirral Coastal Walk is organised by the amazing Rotary Club to support local charities and communities including Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation. The walk is open to all ages and abilities with tickets costing £5 per person with under 10’s costing just £1.
There is no minimum fundraising amount to take on the Wirral Coastal Walk but we would be grateful if you could raise whatever you can to support all those affected by lung cancer. Kickstart your fundraising by setting up your Just Giving page here!
Why take part in the Wirral Coastal Walk?
- We are the leading lung cancer charity in the UK dedicated to helping everyone affected by lung cancer.
- Lung cancer is a disease that, despite what many may think, can affect anyone.
- It is the UK’s biggest cancer killer, with over 36,000 dying from lung cancer every year. It kills more people than breast, prostate and pancreatic cancer combined, and more women than breast and ovarian cancer combined.
- It is our mission to ensure everyone diagnosed with lung cancer can live well with the disease for as long as possible
