Group fundraising

Come together for an epic fundraising adventure!

There’s nothing quite like getting together with your friends and family for a social outing but there is one way to make it even more special by turning it into a fundraising event.

Whether you choose to go all glamourous with a ball, sing it loud with a music festival or invite everyone over for a dinner part to remember, you’ll be making a huge difference to those affected by lung cancer.

Find more inspiration for your physical challenge by visiting our A-Z fundraising page here. Alternatively, take a look at what fellow fundraisers have been up to in our Roy’s Raisers magazine.

Stuart’s fundraising story

“I chose Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation in honour of my friend Mick, who held the charity close to his heart.

In October 2021, Mick told me he had lung cancer. Just a few months later on Christmas Eve, he passed away. In this short space of time, Mick put all his energy into organising the North Coast 500 (NC500) challenge which we intended to do together on our Vespa scooters.

Since he passed, the scooter club we belonged to, Geachy scooter club picked up the reins and myself and my friend Colin completed this in July 2022.

Before we started the challenge, Mick’s family asked me to scatter some of his ashes in Loch Ness. It was a very emotional day but we made sure to honour him on our voyage.

The support I’ve received, especially from my wife Beverley, has be overwhelming and really made this trip all the more special.”
