Smash Sherwood returns for 2024 with TWO new races!
Race day information
Registration & bag drop open: 08:30am
Race start times are: 09:30am 10 miler 09:45am for 10km 10:00am for 5km and 10:05am for the mini miler

Registration & Help Desk: Make your way to the onsite registration tent. Please have your registration confirmation (electronically) to hand. You will be given your race bib number, timing chip and safety pins (race belts are welcome and please add your emergency contact number and details on the back of your chip timing).
Route maps
All the distances above start off in the same direction, at different times, so you will see signage for multiple distances. Please follow the signage for your distance and instructions from Marshalls at all times.
Marshalls are there to assist so please lower your music so that you can hear their instruction and pay attention to the signage at all times.
Please note: the mini miler will take place on-site, please look out for signs relating to this event.
Parking
Onsite parking is just £3 for all SMASH SHERWOOD participants. Please follow these instructions:
You will need a clear photo of this QR code which will also be available at the registration tent.
- Go to a pay station and enter your car registration and press ‘search’.
- Check your details – you can manually enter your visit if your registration isn’t recognised.
- Press ‘pay’, then scan your QR code at the ‘scan’ window below the screen to apply the discount.
- Pay any remaining fee and the transaction is complete.
- The exit barrier will automatically lift when you leave.
Pay stations are in the Visitor Centre car park QR codes cannot be used at the exit barriers. Car sharing is encouraged, so please do this where you can. Alternatively, if you plan to come by train, please visit https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/ to establish the nearest station to the Forestry England site. Alternatively, use a local bus provider for relevant bus/coach information.
Additional information
Facilities: Forestry England toilet facilities are available on-site, and portaloos are available on the event field. The café is open to all participants and spectators for pre & post-race refreshments.
Medal & T-shirt: At the finish line you’ll be presented with your well-earned finisher medal and t-shirt.
Results: On event day, all runners will receive a text message from NIFTY ENTRIES containing all Finisher details inc, timing etc. All results and leader board will be listed on https://www.niftyentries.com/

Terms and Conditions
Please take the time to read our terms and conditions before you register for the event. By completing the registration form you agree to abide by the terms and conditions. You must be at least 16 years old to take part in the 10-miler, 15 or older to run the 10k and 14 or over to sign up for the 5k.
