Whether you commit to 30 days or 30 minutes, any amount of time that you spend smoke free is benefiting your health.
This challenge is not just about quitting smoking or vaping – it’s about supporting each other on the journey toward a healthier, smoke and vape free life.
Why take on the challenge?
Lung cancer is THE biggest cancer killer, claiming more lives than breast, prostate, and pancreatic cancers combined. Smoking is the leading cause of lung cancer, but the good news is that quitting smoking can significantly reduce your risk of ever getting the disease by up to 50%.
Vaping is also highly addictive and a costly habit. A standard UK-regulated vape delivers the same amount of nicotine as 20 cigarettes.
Not only will going Smoke Free for September improve your health and save you money, but it will also enhance your quality of life, boost your energy and protect your loved ones from secondhand smoke.
Looking for extra motivation? By accepting the challenge, you’ll also receive a smoke-free chain and welcome pack complete with a tracker to keep you on track!
Additionally, by joining our Smoke Free for September Facebook group, you’ll find support from a community of individuals who share your goal of being smoke free for 30 days.
By staying smoke or vape free for September, you can help protect your lungs, improve your overall health, and support those living with lung cancer.
A smoke-free win for Nick
I was still smoking when I got lung cancer. I think many people would think ‘Well, what’s the point in quitting now?’ but I quit straightaway. It meant my treatment could be more effective. And it was – I’m now 7 years cancer free. My advice would be don’t wait to quit. The sooner you quit, the more you reduce your chance of ever getting lung cancer.
How you can make a difference
Did you know that there are over 60 different toxins in cigarettes? Or that 70% of lung cancer deaths are due to smoking? More importantly, did you know that when you cut down and quit smoking, you’re improving your chances of a longer and healthier life?
