Used to battling perils such as fire, flood and storm damage, claims company, Aspray, now has its sights set on a new challenge – our Defeat Delamere ultimate run!
Providing sponsorship for the event, Aspray aims to help make this year’s running event the best it can be.
Defeat Delamere is a 5k or 10k trail run through the stunning Delamere Forest. The challenging terrain allows seasoned runners to test their endurance whilst also offering a fantastic introduction to trail running for newbie runners.
Runners will be treated to a fun group warm up before heading off into the gorgeous woodlands in search of a new PB. The Aspray team will be on hand as they take over the water station on the 10k course, cheering on runners with words of encouragement and much need refreshment.
All runners will receive a race pack, inclusive of race number, timing chip and safety pins. They will also get a goody bag, finisher t-shirt and exclusive Defeat Delamere finisher medal.
Graham Forrester, Director at Aspray Altrincham, explains why Aspray was keen to show their support for the event:
“Defeat Delamere is shaping up to be a fun and competitive experience for all runners taking part.
We were looking for an opportunity to get involved with the local community for a good cause, and Defeat Delamere fit that ambition perfectly. The event is a chance for us to make the local community more aware of our services, but also a great chance to give back.”

Defeat Delamere is on Sunday 17th September. Places for both the 5k and 10k event are still available. Registration for the 5k event costs £25 and £30 for the 10k race.
