Smash Sherwood

Registration Fee: £25 - £30 No minimum sponsorship
30th June 2024 East Midlands

Smash Sherwood returns for 2024 with TWO new races!

Runners can now choose to take on:

There will also be a mini miler so the kids can get in on the action too!

Event and Route Information

The race takes place at Sherwood Pines, Nottingham on Sunday 30th June. There will be a mass group warm up before you take to the starting line. Each distance will set off separately and runners will be called to the start line by an official MC.

Runners will take on the rugged terrain of this hidden forest. With a variety of long downhills and straight runs, you’ll get into a strong constant tempo that will push you to the finish line.

The courses are signposted and well marshalled and cover stunning views of the forest.  As this is a trail run, runners can potentially expect mixed terrain, hills, loose surfaces and exposed tree roots – all adding to the thrill of the chase.

You can collect your race pack including race number and timing chip at the registration tent set within the charity village. Registration opens at 8.30am. Please note the mini miler will not be chip timed.

You must be 16 or older for the 10-miler. Those 15 and over can take on the 10k and 14 or over to sign up for the 5k. The mini-miler is open to ages 3 or over, or running buggies.

  • 10-Miler: 9.30am
  • 10k: 10.00am
  • 5k: 10.20am

Option to fundraise

All money from Smash Sherwood helps fund our vital work. In addition to your race fee, you can also set up a Just Giving page and raise money to help those living with lung cancer

Lung cancer is the UK’s biggest cancer killer. It kills more people than breast, prostate and pancreatic cancers combined. Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is the only UK charity solely dedicated to supporting everyone affected by lung cancer. The charity also funds life-saving research to improve early detections, campaigns for access to life-lengthening treatments and challenges the dangerous misconceptions surrounding the disease.
