Great North Run:

Date: September 10th, 2023

Get ready to take on the Great North Run, an exhilarating half-marathon that attracts runners from all walks of life. Starting in Newcastle upon Tyne and finishing in South Shields, this event offers a breathtaking route along the picturesque North East coastline.

As the largest half marathon in the world, the Great North Run is currently in its 42nd year, and will see you crossing the famous Tyne Bridge! This event is loved by runners, and it’s easy to see why. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro, the Great North Run is perfect no matter your running ability. In fact, Great North have a handful of running plans you can utilise whilst training in order to maximise your time on the route!

Conquer Cannock:

Date: July 23rd, 2023

Join us on July 23rd for Conquer Cannock, the ultimate outdoor challenge. Get ready to conquer rugged terrain, push yourself to new heights, and create lasting memories, all while raising vital funds for life-saving research.

This adrenaline-fueled event takes place in the stunning Cannock Chase Forest, where you’ll embark on an exhilarating journey through nature’s playground. Whether you’re an experienced trail runner, a hiking enthusiast, or a weekend warrior looking for a thrilling challenge, Conquer Cannock has something for everyone.

Run Alton Towers 5k

Date: November 12th, 2023

This unique race promises a thrilling and unforgettable experience for participants. Set against the stunning backdrop of Alton Towers Resort, the event brings together running enthusiasts, families, and supporters from all walks of life. The race offers participants the chance to challenge themselves while enjoying the park’s captivating atmosphere.

After completing the race, you can explore the iconic Alton Towers Resort, renowned for its thrilling rides and captivating attractions.

Richmond Park Half Marathon:

Date: August 13th, 2023

Back for another year, this beautiful park run is set in London’s iconic Richmond Park. A filming destination for iconic movies such as Billy Elliot, the Richmond Park Half Marathon has an atmosphere like no other.

Whether you want to run for a good cause or in the memory of a loved one, this challenge is a great choice for runners of all abilities. If you sign up for this event, you’ll receive your own Roy’s Runners vest, an invitation to a private Roy’s Runners Facebook group and a fundraising pack to help you raise funds for our charity!

Our sporting events team will also be there every step of the way with fundraising tips, suggestions, and regular calls to help you reach your fundraising target and have the best running experience.

Virtual Runs:

Date: Ongoing

If you prefer the flexibility of running at your own pace and in your preferred location, we offer virtual runs that allow you to participate from anywhere in the world. With various distance options available, you can set your own running goals while raising vital funds.

Virtual runs provide a fantastic opportunity to engage with a global community of runners united by a shared commitment to make a difference.
