Virtual runs, cycle rides & walks

If you have had a run cancelled or postponed, are looking for a new focus or simply just want to get out of the house, you can take part in virtual runs, cycles and walks.

We need you now more than ever before, and virtual sporting events are an amazing way to keep up with your training and raise even more to support those people living with lung cancer.

Simply choose your event and your distance. If you are doing a virtual run, you can sign up to receive your virtual run welcome pack, including a complimentary 5K training plan (if this is your chosen distance), running buff, an invite to join our Strava running club, as well as an exclusive Roy Castle Easter Medal.

When my Easter walk was cancelled, I didn’t despair. I have a pair of legs; I can trek anywhere! I feel very passionate about promoting this amazing charity and the work you do so tirelessly. I feel so honoured to be a part of the Roy Castle family, fundraising has given me a passion and a purpose.

Staying safe and protecting others

It is absolutely vital that those taking on a virtual run, walk and cycle follow the strict Government instructions.

Under the current instructions, you are allowed out once a day for exercise. Please use this permitted time to take on your challenge.

Anyone running more than 10k should complete their challenge over a period of days. This means you will not be out for too long, nor should it compromise your immune system in any way.

You must remain a safe distance from anyone else. This is a minimum of 2 metres. Ideally, find a location where there is no one else around.

It is absolutely essential that we all follow the Government instructions. You are taking on this challenge in support of those living with lung cancer. They are at high risk of serious illness if they contract this virus, so please make sure you only take on this challenge in line with the latest Government instruction and stay safe.
