Physical Challenge
Time to get physical in aid of a great cause.
There are many ways in which you can put your body to the test whilst making a huge difference. Whether running, cycling, swimming, walking or horse riding is your passion, we can help you get the most out of your fundraising ideas.
You may even be totally new to undertaking a physical challenge and decide to really test yourself with a month of push ups, burpees or squats – whatever it may be, we’ll be there every step of the way.
Find more inspiration for your physical challenge by visiting our A-Z fundraising page here. Alternatively, take a look at what fellow fundraisers have been up to in our Roy’s Raisers magazine.

Lewis’s fundraising story
“Every year I always think of a new challenge to do.
This year I decided on a hobby that I enjoy and one I knew others would take part in. I’ve known a few people who have done a 24-hour event before, so I thought I would mix the two together for a big fundraising event.
I’ve been fundraising for a number of years now. My mum passed away from cancer at Bolton Hospice, so I’ve done fundraisers on their behalf. When Becca was diagnosed, Joe wanted to do a fundraiser and I saw it as an opportunity to help another charity, I know Becca is a big admirer of Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.
I hosted the event at MOD Stafford because that’s where I’m based, and I had spread the word about the event to my fellow colleagues.
In total we had over one hundred Army and RAF members join us on the day. There were five teams and two pitches for the event with each team playing for two hours straight followed by a 30 minute rest.
Each team played around 60 games each and over the 24 hours over 500 goals were scored!”
