Isle of Man Charity Partners
Isle of Man Anti Cancer Association
For 60 years, the Isle of Man Anti-Cancer Association have fundraised for research and provided support for those affected by cancer in the UK. They have been a great support since we have become a registered charity on the island.
Our 2017-2018 Cut Films project was funded by the IoM ACA and in 2019, was commissioned for another two year long project. Cut films is an innovative prevention programme aimed at young people and discourages them to start smoking.
In September 2019, we joined the team for an island wide awareness roadshow; spreading awareness of the signs and symptoms of lung cancer.
Walking Mann
Throughout Lung Cancer Awareness Month 2019, Walking Mann provided free walking tours on selected routes across the island to help raise funds for Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation. Donations were made following the walks and they were a great opportunity to experience the great outdoors and learn about the history of the island, visiting areas such as Glen Mooar and Ballalass Glen.
Isle of Man Footpath Conservation Group
In November 2019, members of the Footpath Conservation Group raised funds in support of lung cancer awareness month. They collected donations and helped spread awareness of Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation Isle of Man while completing walks across the island.
